I INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMMUNICATION AND WINE CULTURE
LANZAROTE 2026
The congress that brings together tradition, communication, and the future of wine
- 25, 26 & 27 de November 2026
- 23 & 24 de November 2026
Overview
Lanzarote hosts this International Congress on Wine Communication and Culture as a territory where words and landscape share a common memory. The island has transformed its volcanic origins into one of the most unique winemaking traditions in the world, reflecting the distinctive character of Canary Islands wines. From this singular place, we aim to open a dialogue with other wine regions across the Canary Islands, Spain, and the world.
To speak of wine is to speak of culture, landscape, people, and time. In a global context, communicating wine with rigor and sensitivity is a key strategic tool to preserve its value, project its authenticity, and strengthen its sustainability.
In 2015, Lanzarote became the first destination in the world to receive the Biosphere Responsible Tourism certification from the World Tourism Organization, a distinction that confirms the island’s commitment to sustainability. This congress is therefore held in a place that understands sustainability as both narrative and practice.
The Cabildo of Lanzarote and the Lanzarote University School of Tourism, with the participation of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the University of La Laguna, and the University of Seville, organize this International Congress on Wine Communication and Culture.
From Lanzarote, wine is communicated as territory, heritage, and a shared future.
